Director of Individual and Family Services

​

Position Summary: The Arc Upper Valley seeks a full-time Director of Individual and Family Services to advance the civil rights of people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and support their inclusion in the community. The Director of Individual and Family Services will be responsible to strengthen and grow programs for people with IDD and their families. Responsibilities include providing direct advocacy services (education, services and supports, community access, etc.); coordinating and facilitating social activities; planning, coordinating, and facilitating trainings for program participants and community members; collaborating with team members and community partners; gathering, analyzing, and reporting on program data; and grant writing for program sustainability.

 

Qualifications: The applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in social work, rehabilitation, psychology, sociology, or related field, preferred; or five years related experience and/or training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. The applicant should also have advanced leadership and team management skills, ability to work independently, well-developed verbal and written communication skills, comprehensive mathematical skills, computer literacy skills, ability to work a flexible schedule. Applicant must possess and valid driver’s license and have a reliable motor vehicle and proof of insurance.
