Did you know that we provide advocacy services for people with disabilities and their families?
At its core, advocacy is about more than addressing a single concern. It is about ensuring that individuals with disabilities are heard, respected, and supported in living the life they choose. Through LIFE Advocacy Services, we work alongside individuals and families to advance human and civil rights, navigate complex systems, and build pathways toward meaningful community inclusion.
What We Hear
Every day, we hear from individuals and families navigating complex systems and situations that can often feel overwhelming and difficult to manage alone.
A parent may be trying to advocate for the right supports at school.
A young adult may be preparing to transition from high school into the community, unsure of what comes next.
A family may be working to understand services, plan for the future, or ensure their loved one’s rights are respected.
These experiences are more common than many people realize, and they are exactly where advocacy can make a meaningful difference.
Advocacy is about ensuring every person has a voice, a choice, and the opportunity to fully participate in their community.
Why Advocacy Matters
Advocacy plays a critical role in overall well-being, independence, and quality of life. When individuals and families have the right support, they are better able to:
Make informed decisions
Access appropriate services and supports
Build confidence in navigating systems
Strengthen their voice in important life decisions
Advocacy also contributes to stronger, more inclusive communities, where people with disabilities are fully included in all aspects of life: living, learning, working, and participating in their communities.
How We Can Help
Our LIFE Advocacy Services are designed to meet individuals and families where they are. We can assist with a variety of needs, including:
Human and civil rights
Special education and school-related concerns
Transition from high school to adult life
Employment and vocational supports
Accessing services and navigating systems
Future planning and decision-making
Community inclusion and connection
And more
Every situation is unique. Our role is to listen, understand, and work alongside you to identify goals and next steps.Â
As non-legal advocates, we focus on guidance, support, and problem-solving. If a situation arises that requires legal representation or expertise beyond our scope, we will help connect you with the appropriate resources and professionals.
A Person-Centered Approach
We believe that advocacy should be person-centered and relationship-based. This means:
You are the expert in your life
Your goals and priorities guide the process
We work with you—not for you
Our goal is to help build not only solutions for today, but also skills, confidence, and connections for the future.
You Don’t Have to Navigate It Alone
Whether you are just beginning to explore services or facing a specific challenge, support is available. Advocacy can provide clarity, direction, and reassurance during times that may otherwise feel overwhelming.
