L.I.F.E. ADVOCACY SERVICES
Long-Term Individual, Family & Educational Advocacy Services
The Arc Upper Valley believes everyone deserves to be heard, supported and empowered. Our LIFE Advocacy Services help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), related disabilities, and their families navigate challenges, access resources, build adovcacy skills, and live full lives.

Our advocates walk alongside people through their lifetime, from early childhood to adulthood and aging, providing trusted support over time. LIFE Advocacy Services are confidential and available to individuals and families accross the lifespan.
We help individuals and families:

-
Identify and address specific needs
-
Understand rights and options
-
Navigate complex systems
-
Connect to services and supports
-
Prepare for meetings or major decisions
-
Participate in person-centered planning with teams
-
Provide support and education
-
Build advocacy skills

We also strengthen the broader system. Our organization collaborates with providers, schools, agencies, and community partners to identify gaps, improve service delivery, and promote policies and practicies that protect rights and expand opportunities for people with IDD.

Important: Our advocates are not attorneys and cannot provide legal representation or legal advice. If your situation requires legal support, we can provide referrals to qualified attorneys.
